Terms & Conditions for Booking a Workshop or Course

By booking and participating in any workshop or course, you agree to the
following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a
booking.

1. Booking & Payment

1.1 Workshops

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
  • An online registration form must be completed via the website.
  • Upon receipt of payment, you will receive a confirmation email and
    receipt.

1.2 Touch for Health Courses

  • You must complete the online registration form and receive confirmation
    of enrolment before making any payment.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
  • A confirmation email and receipt will be issued once the payment is
    received.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

2.1 Workshops

  • Cancellations 6 weeks or more before the start date:
    A full refund minus a £20 administration fee, or transfer to a future
    workshop within 12 months (minus the fee).
  • Cancellations within 0–6 weeks of the start date:
    No refund will be issued.

2.2 Touch for Health Courses

  • Cancellations more than 8 weeks before the start date:
    All payments minus 10% administration fee will be refunded.
  • Cancellations within 0–8 weeks of the start date:
    No refund will be issued. However, the retained amount (excluding a 10%
    administration fee ) may be transferred to a future course within 12 months,
    subject to availability.

3. Cancellation or Postponement by Us

  • In the unlikely event that we are unable to deliver a workshop or course
    due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel or
    postpone the event.
  • In such cases, all monies paid will be refunded in full or, with your consent,
    transferred to a future date.
  • Any unavoidable online payment or bank processing fees (approximately
    3%) may be deducted from refunds.

4. Changes to Course or Workshop Content

  • We reserve the right to make minor changes to course content, schedules,
    venues, delivery format (including online platforms), or instructors where
    necessary.
  • Any significant changes will be communicated as soon as reasonably
    possible.

5. Participant Responsibilities

5.1 Age Requirements

  • Participants must be 18 years or older, unless accompanied by a parent or
    legal guardian.

5.2 Health, Fitness & Disclosure

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically, mentally, and
    emotionally fit to attend.
  • Any relevant medical conditions, allergies, injuries, access needs, learning
    differences, or special requirements must be disclosed at the time of
    booking.
  • Participation is voluntary, and you are encouraged to work within your own
    limits at all times.

6. Participation, Conduct & Learning Environment

We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning
environment.

  • Respectful Behaviour:
    Disruptive, aggressive, offensive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be
    tolerated.
  • Conflict Resolution:
    Where possible, reasonable efforts will be made to resolve conflicts
    constructively.
  • Right to Request Withdrawal:
    We reserve the right to request that a participant withdraw immediately if
    their behaviour compromises safety, wellbeing, or the learning
    environment.
  • Refunds in Cases of Dismissal:
    No refund will be issued, except in exceptional circumstances at the
    discretion of the course leader(s).

7. Attendance & Certification

7.1 Touch for Health IKC Certification

To receive an official IKC Touch for Health certificate:

  • A minimum of 80% attendance is required.
  • Full participation in practical exercises is necessary.
  • Certificates cannot be issued if attendance requirements are not met.

7.2 Other Workshops

Where applicable, certificates of attendance or completion are issued only if all
required elements are completed.

8. Educational Nature & Disclaimer

  • All workshops and courses are educational in nature and do not
    constitute medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or
    treatment.
  • Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical or mental
    health concerns.
  • Kinesiology and related practices are complementary and not a substitute
    for professional healthcare or therapy.

9. Liability

  • Participation is at your own risk.
  • We cannot accept liability for any personal injury, loss, damage, or theft of
    personal property during or following a workshop or course.
  • You are responsible for your own belongings at all times.

10. Voluntary Participation & Self-Responsibility

  • All exercises, body-awareness practices, and balancing techniques are
    voluntary.
  • You are responsible for monitoring your own comfort, boundaries, and
    wellbeing.
  • You may pause or stop participating at any time.
  • You accept full responsibility for any decisions made or actions taken as a
    result of participating.

11. Online Sessions & Zoom Environment

For online workshops or courses:

  • Sessions are delivered via Zoom or a similar online platform.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you are in a safe, private, and suitable
    environment to participate.
  • We are not responsible for technical issues beyond our control, including
    internet connectivity or device problems.

12. Accessibility & Inclusion

We aim to make our workshops and courses as accessible and inclusive as
possible.

If you have access needs, mobility considerations, learning differences, or require
additional support, please contact us before booking so we can discuss
reasonable adjustments.

13. Photography & Media Consent

  • Photographs or short video clips may occasionally be taken for
    educational or promotional purposes.
  • You will be informed in advance and given the option to decline.
  • No images will be used without your consent.

14. Data Protection & Privacy

14.1 Use of Personal Data

  • Personal data provided during registration is used solely for managing
    your participation, certification, and communication related to your
    booking.
  • All personal data is stored securely and treated confidentially.


14.2 International Data Transfer

  • Touch for Health students seeking IKC certification must provide their
    name, address, email, and phone number.
  • This information is shared with the International Kinesiology College (IKC)
    in Australia solely for certification purposes.
  • Reasonable steps are taken to ensure data is handled securely and in
    accordance with applicable data protection laws.

15. Communications & Marketing

  • By booking, you consent to receive emails related to your course or
    workshop, including logistical updates, learning materials, and relevant
    follow-up information.
  • You may also receive occasional emails about future workshops, courses,
    or related offerings.
  • You can unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time.

16. Acceptance of Terms

By completing a booking and participating in a workshop or course, you confirm
that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
